Deuteronomy 16:17 says that “each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.” In 2 Corinthians 9:7 we learn that “each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
